We finally got around to hanging all of our pictures, and man what a difference. It's way more homely and inviting but the workshop lights; great for wrenching on cars, is doing nothing for the vibe, it feels way too clinical and cold. So next on the list is to set the mood with some warmer lights.
A couple of weekends back we installed a set of Tein Street Advance coilovers on an Integra DC5 Type R. After driving the car around Sydney for a day to help settle the suspension, we're happy to report the Teins are worth every bit of money. On the street compared to more popular cheaper coilovers that are generally harsh on the softest settings, the Tein Street Advance coilovers has a supple ride, soaking up bumps without a problem, whilst still maintaining OEM chassis control. Build quality is exactly what you expect. For someone who daily drives their car, Tein Street Advance coilovers would be our first pick. Shout out to JDMYard for supplying them.
Greaser tees will be available soon, we've been holding back because honestly we're a picky bunch and wanted to make sure the tees were up to our expectations. We can now say that its been a couple of months and the tees have exceeded all expectations, they've been worn while wrenching, used as a gym shirt, slept in, partied with, and washed a bunch of times and come out looking still looking great, soft to touch and holding its shape.
Not long ago we hung out with Nick and his Silver 180SX at a local motorkhana event. The car ran strong all day without any issues, the current setup isn't ideal for motorkhana and more suited for track driving, his course times did improve throughout the day, but like he was saying "I just want more seat time, so I drive it better". He has booked a couple of track day later on in the year, so we can't wait to see out there at full speed.
Until next time - Greaser Team.
